I've just had an amazingly positive experience with a drain clearing/ repair service. Honest straight up company that solved a problem with my Edwardian clay soil pipe (that has been causing me issues for years) without advising unnecessary expensive work. Turned out that a fairly large piece of slate that must have been dropped onto the pipe over 35 years ago  (when the roof was replaced with concrete tiles) had calcified and was causing the regular blockages. They did a video survey and sorted the problem within an hour for a really reasonable cost. So would recommend
